Today is 10 years since the opening ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympics. Long before that in 1991, the bid for the Games commenced with the Sydney 2000 Olympic Bid identity designed by Minale Tattersfield Bryce. Over a nine year period, Minale Tattersfield Bryce maintained their involvement in the Sydney 2000 design team with Michael Bryce recognised as Principal Design Advisor to the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (SOCOG).

I.D. Annual Design Review 2010...

Since 1954, the I.D. Annual Design Review has recognized the best in product, furniture, graphic and environment design, from the iconic to the obscure.

Throughout the years, this annual showcase has chronicled the evolution of design, and highlighted its impact on our material and visual culture. Each year, the featured work is chosen by a jury of leading practitioners who focus the abundance of submissions into a clear survey of the state of design.

The CSIRO name behind the centre is Jonathan Roberts, my neighbour at Toowong in Brisbane.  ABC TV and News.com ran a profile on the launch of the centre last week.
